Executive Coaching
Phyllis is a highly sought-after executive coach who personally takes on a small, select group of leaders to work with each year. If she's not the right fit, The Loyalty Group team has other exceptional executive coaches to consider. Just ask!
Phyllis' Coaching Style
Chemistry is critical to a successful executive coaching relationship. We always encourage coaching candidates to interview a few potential coaches, to ensure that chemistry and connection are there.
Clients have said that Phyllis has a unique coaching style. She tends to be direct but empathetic, with a sense of humor that creates a comfortable environment where it's safe to open up. While she's a certified executive coach, she blends a variety of techniques and tools to help leaders achieve their development goals. She's pragmatic, results-oriented, and focused on business application.
While Phyllis tailors every coaching engagement to individual and organizational needs, they typically include:
- Upfront contracting with key stakeholders to ensure everyone's on the same page about expectations, communication, and confidentiality.
- Assessment(s), if not already performed by the organization. Phyllis incorporates 360 feedback, stakeholder interviews, personality/style assessments, EQ assessments, or whatever is appropriate given the situation.
- Prioritizing development needs to focus on the few behaviors that will make the biggest impact if adjusted.
- A feedback loop with the manager and/or key stakeholders to ensure the leader gets on-the-job support. It takes a village to change behavior and engaging stakeholders, without violating confidentiality, is the best way to make coaching stick.
- Clearly defined outcomes to assess progress during the engagement, allow course corrections and evaluate success at the end.
- A sustainability plan developed with the leader and their manager to ensure that executive coaching isn't an event.
